Purl by Pixar, directed by Kristen Lester and produced by Gillian Libbert-Duncan, features an earnest ball of yarn named Purl who gets a job in a fast-paced, high energy, bro-tastic start-up. Yarny hijinks ensue as she tries to fit in, but how far is she willing to go to get the acceptance she yearns for, and in the end, is it worth it?
How many women out there are acting like men just to be part of the team? Or just like Gillian, acting like a man and not even be conscious about it. It is almost like women are being programmed over time to act like a man when the time is passing by. Imagine what would happen when a woman can just be herself and can be a role model for other women?
Watch the short video, get amused (it is truly wonderful how realistic this is) and think about how this is affecting you in your daily life, your career and at the office.
